How Prediction Markets Work
Prediction markets allow you to take positions on binary outcomes related to real estate. For example: "Will GTA office vacancy drop below 8% by Q3 2026?" or "Will the average cap rate for industrial properties fall below 5% this year?" You can buy YES or NO shares, with payouts determined by the actual outcome.
Available Markets
At launch, we're offering markets across three categories: Property-specific predictions (occupancy rates, rent growth), Market-wide trends (vacancy rates, cap rate movements, transaction volumes), and Platform metrics (total value locked, new investor growth). Each market has a defined resolution date and clear outcome criteria.
Getting Started
Prediction markets are available to all verified Futurestate investors. Navigate to the Predictions tab in your dashboard, browse available markets, and place your first trade. Markets are settled using verified data from CBRE, Colliers, and Statistics Canada. Your XP rank determines your maximum position size, with higher-ranked investors eligible for larger positions.
